I don't. I only have one connection at the rear for the BH that some have told me is considered 'power beyond'.
Ah. that would need a valve and be another $100ish, probbaly not worth it.

I don't plan on using straps at all. That was just for this test. I plan on using some kind of hard link, whether it's chain or some kind of load binder type adjustable bolt. Other than sliding into or away from a pallet, I can't see that I would ever have the bucket and tips curled out/forward.

As long as it keeps the carryall from sliding side-to-side for any unexpected reason it's probably good to go as it's similar in (several aspects) to over-bucket forks

As stupid as this may have first seemed, it works amazingly well. I can't lift much, but it sure beats doing it by hand or wheelbarrow, and the cost is a fraction of other machine options.

This platform sort of thing is made of 4x4s and assorted 2xs. It's become sort of a catchall for stuff I don't want to lay on the ground. It's usually just temporary, but sometimes stuff may be there for a few months, like this scrap roof metal. But it was in the way and needed to be moved and I wasn't too wild about unstacking it all, dragging the platform and then restacking everything. It's probably in the 300# range as it is.

As in the other pictures above, the carry all is just strapped into the FEL bucket with ratchet straps. The 'forks' weren't long enough to get all the way under the load, so I added a couple of more ratchet straps to hold back against the bucket.

For the expense and bother, you could almost put that much firewood under each arm.

Sorry about poor scanned polaroid pic. THIS is a GOOD load of wood!

1st if it works for you that is the main thing!
I use some clamp on forks personally. I was looking at buying a set snd had a friend who had a friend that had a set he was going to put in a scrap steel pile. It was a deal that as for me it turns out was robbery from him. But he was happy to get better than scrap price and I have less than half what the pair I was looking at would have cost me. Mine have a chain slot in an upright pallet stop, so I typically use chains and clamps.
You have some of the same issues as with clamp on forks. Your capacity is reduced as the load is all in front of your bucket. You may transfer some of the stress to other parts of the bucket with securement process, but you still will have lots of bucket tip stress, unless you work out a method to prevent the rear of the CA from lifting.
Again if it works for you and you can get multiple uses from 1 implement, you are $$$ ahead. Great thinking out of the box.

It looks like that load of firewood would fit in your bucket, without the need to strap it?
