How to attach the 3ph lowr linkd?

I've never really gotten anything tight. Part of my reasoning is that with a bit of give if I hit something (and especially something I DON'T want to hit) there's a bit of give: I suspect that it's paid off in a couple of my meetings with buildings.

Anyone who thinks they mow fast needs to come see what I do with my B7800! (actually, ANYTHING I do with it!) I literally have the thing spinning around trees (root crowns) such that I'm almost on two wheels! The speed takes a toll on the body. Getting back to the link arms...

I HATE the turnbuckle adjusters. And I hate the system on my B7800 especially because the arms flop all over the place: I have to play a game of Twister in hooking stuff up (again, I do stuff that really ought not be done, but it works for me). Never have found the time to fabricate something to hold the arms apart: no sooner would I get it right that I'd find that it interferes with hooking up!

The telescoping arms on my NX are a godsend. And, well, given the increased size of implements one can't readily (read "at all") physically assist in positioning them. I can hook stuff up a lot faster on the NX than I can on the B7800.

I used to have a B2910. It was the Cadillac version of the B7800. Had telescoping links among other niceties. Tough little tractors.

Being on two wheels while spinning around trees was something I never saw. I'd love to see a video of that!!!! :)

I'll make a note of your idea. Next Winter when I'm looking for shop projects I'll see what I can come up with. :)

One of these days I think I'll either get or make a quick hitch. Then I wont need to worry about lynch pins

I've used a QH on my Kubota for four years.

Have a M6800 since 1999, B2710 since about 2005, JD5525 all three with the telescoping stabilizers. So from 27 hp to 91 hp. Will not say never had a stabilizer pin to bend or snap but sure not often enough to remember it. On the B2710 think the pins I used on it for say 5 years were from Lowes. But have also used a simple bolt dropped in there. If you use the slots rather than the holes to pin the stabilizer that would allow a lot of movement before the pin comes tight and maybe that allows them to snap but based upon what you are saying don't think you use the slots. I have run four row planters on the M6800 on the lift and the stabilizer help them solid, have used 10 foot wide field cultivator and has held it with quick sharp turns. Not saying not happening on your tractor at all just saying never has been issued on mine so wonder what the difference is.

The stabilizer pins on my JD have a square spring lock to retain them with a cut into the inside of the pin the spring rest it. Not a fan of that for very hard to engage to me. But have not had one to come lose.

No not using slots.

It's just all the adjustments, pivots, etc, it's impossible to get 100% of the slop out.

If I use a drift pin and play with it for a bit, I can get it pretty snug. But simply hooking up the implement, and dropping pins in the closest holes, results in about 3-4" of seat at the tailwheels of the bushhog. (About 8' back).

That 3-4" of sway is hard on the 7/16 lunch pins when turning. I haven't broke or bent a stabilizer pin yet. Just making the Lynch pins a nice little half moon shape

Oh, I misunderstood. Think maybe kthompson did as well. I thought you were bending/shearing the stabilizer pins. You are having problems with the lynch pins that hold the 3pt arms on the implement?

To relieve pressure from those I always pin my stabilizers with the 3pt arms as close together as possible. Then the stress of keeping the 3pt arm end fastened to the implement hitch is shared by the stabilizer pins.

Can't seem to get enough play/slop out of the stabilizers to keep them in away from the Lynch pins. Thus the issue

Maybe add washers to take all the slack out of the implement pins so you can just barely insert the lynch pin, so it can't get a "run at it"????

A QH will fix this problem but you'll probably have to do some modification to your implements to accept the QH.
