How to evaluate a used tiller

/ How to evaluate a used tiller #11
I've had the same one for about 20 years that I bought used. It was lightly used on sandy soil.
Gets maybe 5 hours a year with me.
They do a great job with few problems.
Grease the U joints and the grease zerk on the side, check the oil in the gear box. You know, the regular maintenance stuff.
Most of my tines are still good but two need replacement after hitting rocks.
Happy tilling.

50+ year old Howard rotovator. All original. Used yearly till a few years ago. Curved tines making virtually self cleaning.

Had a friend complain about new TSC tiller performance. Those blocky straight tines are like a hay baler over vegetation. Tillage not nearly as fine and smooth.
