I'd like to force regen mode on my XR4140 but I can't remember how to do it, the sticker that used to tell me how has crumbled away the vital information, and I can't find how to enter forced regen anywhere in the manual. Who knows how to do this?

Found that video, the guy did just what I thought you were supposed to do, and his went into regen. I did the same and mine did not. I found a small blurb in the manual about it will only go into manual regen if soot is >30%. I guess it thinks my soot is <30% so it won't comply.

I did a stupid, put gas in my tractor, and now that I've got it all out, cleaned the tank, replaced the fuel filter and got it running again, I want to force a regen to burn out whatever nasties the gas left behind. Who knows what's in there and if it's interfering with the sensor reading. Is there some way to fool it into thinking soot is >30%? A sensor I can unplug or something?

If yours has been doing the auto regen every 50 hours or so, I'd not worry about it. Just use it and keep RPM above 1800 while working it.

If you ran some gas through the engine it probably thoroughly cleaned out your diesel particulate filter - no need for a regeneration!
Is that a joke or are you serious? I assumed it would leave behind some contaminants, but I don't really know what I'm talking about and I didn't consider that it might actually do the opposite.

How much gas and how long did it run that way?

Your dealer can force a regen using the computer he has. I had to force a regen and my dealer did it at no charge. Dropped over after work and had it done in less than 1/2 hour.

I wouldnt worry about it too much. But I do know that anxiety of knowing the condition of the DPF is real! This last winter, I was fairly anxious about when my tractor would regen, I didn't want it to do it while I was letting it warm up. So I forced it to reset the clock, so to speak. I also filmed it, skip to the 8:30 part for the process:

Make sure all your levers and gears are in neutral, the engine is at idle, and your parking brake is set. If it still wont go, then it probably does not need to go.

It was about 50/50 gas/diesel and I ran it 30-40 minutes that way. I was working with the tractor so it was already up to temp, then added 5 gal of "diesel" and went back to work for another 30 min, never noticed anything out of the ordinary. Parked it for a couple hours, went back and started it again and it was obvious something was wrong. It would run fine at idle and at high RPM but mid-range was a no-go and exhaust fumes were burning my eyes. Ran it maybe 10 minutes that time. After that I figured out I had put gas in it.
