I'm the OP on this and here's what I did. I put the chain in a container and kept spraying Deere Chain Lube on it until no more would soak in. I think it has wax in it since it doesn't attract dirt on my other chains.
Anyway, after soaking I put it on, tensioned it and now wait till I use it. I don't see much oil seeping out so it looks good. I suspect this will last a long time. Thanks for all the advice.
