1*Don't suppose that could be the problem with the 18 HP B&S on my Wards PowerCraft do you?
If so what's the fix ? ? ? ?
Pull the carb off and clean out the main jet, idle jet and any other hole you can get at. Ues wire to clear the holes, carb cleaner and compresed air to check to make sure they are open. Remove rubber parts before using carb cleaner.
Yes, the same goes for any string trimmers or any other gas driven piece of equipment. The new gas is garbage. Without Stab-Bil, the gas will start to solidify in the gas passages in your carbs in about 5-6 months. You would not believe the motorcycles that I am picking up for cheap money with these same problems. How's this one for $200.00. 1980 Honda CX500 with new paint, tires and brakes. The second one I paid $150 for it. It is a 1981 Honda CX500. This bike has 2942 original miles on it. Both of these bikes had plugged carbs on them. It cost me nothing to repair the carbs but my time.
