John Deere 3046R
I recently got a 3046R and attached a snow blower to the rear of it. The snow blower has a hydraulic actuator that controls which way the snow will be blown. How do use the buttons on the joystick that are for the mower deck and change them to run that actuator on the snow blower?

Does the tractor have 3rd and 4th scv or just the electric third fuction that the mower lift is plugged into? 2 outlets on the back or 6? Cabbed tractor or open station? If you want to use the thumb button you would have to remove the mower lift line from the third fuction outlet and install the blowers hydraulic hoses into the 2 outlets. Do you have a pic. of the back of the tractor?

Cab or open station?
Rear snowblower or front monuted

SCV's #1 and #2 are the joystick fore/aft/left/right. the couplers are under the right side floorboard and generally have the loader hooked to them.
SCV #3 is electrically activated by the up/down buttons on the joystick, the two couplers for it are on the rear of the tractor.

I'll answer the questions in order.
1. I am not sure which one it has, maybe you can help me identify which one.
2. It has 6 outlets and I'll attach a picture.
3. Cabbed tractor.
It would be nice to be able to use the thumb buttons for the shoot on the blower.

Edit: Now looking at the pictures and putting my thinking cap on. Would I disconnect the line coming from the green cap, and plug my blower shoot into that for the thumb buttons on the joystick?

Looks like you are well equipped and all set. Assume your manual gives any particulars that you need to operate.

-The two couplers circled in RED are the 3rd SCV controlled by the two buttons on the joystick. You can unplug the hose for the MMM and use it for a grapple, the chute on the snow blower, a hydraulic top link, ectc

-The two circled in YELLOW are the 4th/5th (Why they are labeled 2/3 I don't know). There are only active when the switch on the console is ON, they are operated by moving the joystick fore/aft or left/right. These are 'diverted' from the front loader ports.

Here is the install instruction for the 4th/5th diverter kit: https://www.greenpartstore.com/asse..._deere_blv10649_installation_instructions.pdf

You have 3 SCV’s (I, II & III).

Each valve has two ports. (3 valves x 2 ports / valves = 6 ports total).

Look at the pictures on the stickers. It shows the function of the respective top and bottom port.

One port is to push the connected hydraulic cylinder out, one pushes the cylinder in. You can follow the hoses to the cylinder. (The hose that connects to the cylinder at the rod end, retracts the cylinder). Follow the connections as shown on the stickers so that the control levers do what is expected, and not opposite.

It looks like SCV #3 are the black ports on the right. If SCV #3 is the trigger operated SCV that you want to use, then connect snowblower chute to those two.

So is it all making sense to you? The green ports are used if you want to control the snowblower shoot rotation with the electric thumb switch on the the joystick. The mower only uses one as it is a single acting cylinder (pushes fluid into the line and drains it back through the sane line) not your typical push pull as with a double acting cylinder that requires 2 lines (in and out)
Now if you have hydraulic shoot rotation and hydraulic shoot deflector you can use the blue and the black ports. You would have to flip the switch on the console on and the joystick it self would control shoot rotation by moving the joystick right and left and the shoot deflection by moving the joystick forward or backward. While the switch is on you have no control of the front end loader (the fuctions are diverted to the rear 4 ports) as Kenny said. Flip the switch off and the front end loader works as usual and the snowblower has no control.

This is incorrect info for his 3-series. Please review the info in my post.

Oh...
It's a "chute", not "shoot".
Just clarifying as it helps with search results in the future.
