How to un-tighten hydraulic hose

I usually put a wrench on the red fitting to hold it and use and air hammer with a very dull bit and rattle the blue fitting loose. You may also use a hammer and a rift but that may require an assistant if the red fitting starts to turn.

It's likely an ORFS fitting just like the one behind it in the photo. Deere likes ORFS. Put some Kroil on both sides of the blue hex. Tap gently for a while, more Kroil, more tapping, Get a flare nut wrench if you want to save the hex.

OK, you posted this weeks ago, so you likely already have it off by now.

But just in case, I can't tell if there is a thin washer between the red nut and the casting. If there is, it may be a swivel SAE-ORB fitting, where you spin the main fitting in until it is pointing roughly where you want, then tighten the nut like a jam nut against the casting. The thin washer presses the o-ring against the boss. Try loosening the red nut (counterclockwise, or wrench down) and then see if the blue fitting spins.

Here is a similar part with this type of jam nut onto the o-ring to show what I am talking about:

If you are replacing the hose anyway could you cut the metal tube going to the blue piece and get an impact on it?

Thanks, all, for the replies. I finally got it this weekend. Ended up needing to get new wrenches and hooking one up to my tractor with a chain for leverage... I put my body weight on the breaker bar with a crow's foot wrench..... That did the trick.... Man, that was a deal but I was super happy when it finally broke loose.

I use an air hammer and a flat bit hitting the fittings flat in the direction I want it to turn. Doesn't take much force and hasn't failed me yet

It was kind of fun reading all the ways to attack this.
I agree with another poster on just cutting the hose off at the nut. now all you have to do is take the adapter fitting loose from the block.
When you get your new hose ask for a adapter fitting as well. No leaks
