How would you handle this neighbor issue?

Personally I had neighbors like that when I was younger I thought they'd change 15 years later there still the same . Drunk every night when I had my first child I moved. That was the peaceful solution .this individual had broken in my house , stole money and all my guns and I knew he did it they would wait for me to leave . Since I was single I coulnt get away. When I got married that all changed and I was more defensive . Messing with me was one thing calling my wife a ***** added up to broken ribs . And they weren't mine. These things can escalate I would by no means show a gun . Carry one but don't invite trouble.my only answer was to move.

Sorry things were that bad for you. I live 3 miles away from them so I dont have to interact with them much. Once I'mdone working on the boundary I'm sure I'll have even less interaction with them.

Robert,

Whenever your grapes get into full swing, can you post a thread showing the harvesting, etc....

Are they manually harvested? Do you use Migrant workers or locals, etc....

The different aspects of agriculture in different parts of the country are fascinating to me.

I would really enjoy seeing pictures of your harvest too.
The 80 deg days in March and then some frost didn't do our vines any good either here in SEO. We trim them, spray them, watch a lot get moldy and fall off, and if lucky eat a few and make some jelly. Just for fun, no business.
Here's how they look today..

Hello Robert,

I have read many of your post over the years and know you are a very level headed person. I think you are correct in the way you are handling the situation.

I too would like to see pictures of your harvest:thumbsup:

I'm at the boundary where the neighbors from this thread are at and I'm on my side with the excavator burning tree limbs. As I'm watching the fire burn down the neighbor pulls up along side of me on their side. Stares at what I'm doing for a minute then backs out and leaves without a word. I just smiled and waved.

Here are a couple pics. One is where I'm burning (smokes blowing away from the neighbors ) and the other is a view of the trees these neighbors want me to cut.

It all looks very nice. It matters little I know, but I like the trees since they sort of give the impression of a mountain.

Robert I like your attitude and approach. Given you aren't there most of the time, escalating the situation is just going to ask for them to mess with your property. Most of the time people just don't like change even when it isn't on their property. I presume you don't have time to participate in a tit for tat neighbour dispute. As long as you don't do anything that gets an agency called on you I'm sure they will adjust to the new ownership over time.

Don't think much of a state/area where a free man feels the need to carry a sidearm on his own land. What does that tell you about your neighborhood?

Compared to the south and west, the northeast has very low rates of death by firearm, especially in rural areas where it is almost unheard of except in hunting accidents.

MA, RI and NY are #2, 3 and 4 nationally for lowest death rate by firearm per 100,000 with rates that are 1/3 to 1/2 the national average. Arkansas is #42 with a death rate 150% higher than the national average. How is that guns are protecting you again?
