New guy here just checking in. Lot of great info here.

Well i made a recent purchase. Kubota L3400, 4wd, ag tires, 150hrs. with FEL.
Tractor serial # 57809.

Question; does the 3pt lift valve need to be upgraded, if so does anybody know the part #. Jerky lift syndrome - I have already purchased the return hose, not installed yet though.

Thanks:)

WSelcome, congrats on the new tractor.

Are you near Tyler? Rose County Tractor has been very good helpful when I have a question for them. Either Rose at the parts counter, or any of the guys in the shop will stop what they are doing and answer your questions.

...I forgot to answer your question. Since it seems like it's a used tractor:

The cheapest route to take is to learn to live with it. *IF* it's sooo bad that you can't live with it... it's gonna cost you if you can find someone to work on it.

I would talk to a dealer that has already "adjusted" them before and see what it would cost OR see how much it cost to have the valve upgraded. The valve *was* $430 a few years ago. Most of the cost would be the labor.

From what I've heard, it's not a do it yourself job.

Welcome to TBN...

Longview area.

been using a 9inch auger this weekend, did about 20 holes so far. sure would be nice to have smooth lift on the 3 pt.

Have a 5 foot box blade have not tried it out though, anybody tried " Jeff's homebrew repair "

I would be very interested in adding the adjustable flow control gizmo.

Or upgrading the lift valve...

Funny, the only time I liked my jerky hitch was with the PHD, it would fling the dirt off very well...

If I remember correctly, " Jeff's homebrew repair " wasn't that cheap. Have you talked to a dealer to see if it could be adjusted? $$$
