i do scrap in the spare time and i have alot of it . i had to lull the trailer to the front of the yard to hook it to the truck when we got to the place the total weight of the iron was 5100lbs and the trailer was 1200lbs so thats a wopping 6300lbs this thing pulled . when i got on it and gave it some gas the front tires lifted off the ground and i rode a wheelie for about 400feet til i let off the gas. but here are the pictures. i bent my trailer hitch but i plan on putting another 2" one anyway. not to mention i had to drag that thing through a mud hole.

I bet you can't stop it, if you go downhill. Your photos look pretty level there. I happen to know that a 4WD pickup can pull a 8 ton load of corn silage up a small grade but on the otherside of the hill, things got exciting. Even thou I was going real slow, the wagon didn't stop until the pickup was jackknifed and wagon was pushing my pickup sideways. Had to have my brother pull the wagon backwards with a 100 hp tractor, unhook pickup, blocked wagon tires, and rehook to the tractor(that I should have used in the first place). I was 17 and learned my lesson about "too light" of a tow vehicle. Just a little body damage. But I do understand why you had to try and see if you could pull it.:D

yea it's flat ground down here i would think of pulling this load on a hill. the trailer would probably roll right over the gator and keep goin.

I know exactly what you are talking about. There is a 1/4 mile long hill outside our place at about a 5% grade. I pulled up to a guy on my xuv that ran out of gas 3/4 of the way up the hill in his suburban towing his boat. I told him that wasn't the best place to stop and it would be best if we towed him to our driveway at the top of the hill, the guy couldn't believe me when I backed up to hook up the tow strap, and i could see by the look on his face when we climbed up the hill that he really couldn't believe the xuv got the job done. When we got to the top and stopped, he got out and told me he thought i was crazy for even trying but that he was convinced and going to look at an xuv the next week. I totally agree with stopping the oversized loads though, but on level ground with slow enough speeds these things will tow almost anything.
