Hub bolt

Guys, I'm having a tough time finding a missing hub bolt. This is the cross bolt used to snug the hub up against the axle shaft. It's the one with a spring on it. The problem is that the head of this bolt is a funky size. The bolt measures 1-1/2" long, 9/16" diameter, the head is 3/4" across. Anybody have one they're willing to sell? Yes, used is fine.

Why is the head size critical? All that should matter is bolt length, diameter, and thread count. Assuming it's for a Yanmar, it should be metric, and you should have another one to use as a sample.

Well, to change wheels I have 6 of these to loosen and tighten. Having to use two different wrenches for one bolt would drive me insane. It's the little things in life that pushes people over the edge...

I believe you are referring to a lug bolt/with lock washer, I would think everybody, (Yanmar parts dealers), would have those.

I used to have a couple laying around somewhere...I just can't think of what happened to them?? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you strike out it's possible to turn down, file or grind off the head and weld on the correct size nut for replacement.

Yea, I already bought a bolt, figuring I'd just grind the head down. But that's so hackish that I figured I'd try on the board as a last resort. I never thought to weld a nut on. That one has real possibility.

You can get any bolt under the sun at this place.
I deal with many Japanese and European machines and we get all of our bolts from them.
You could probable replace all 12 for under 25$ plus shipping.
