Hurrance Charley is comming to town

This is a look up at their live oak. Before the storm, when you looked to the sky, you weren't able to see the sky.

Not real happy with this picture, too bad he didn't take one with a wider view.

This is (was) a little garden area fenced off the master bathroom that didn't fair too well.

This palm tree used to be standing on the corner of the house. The root portion is now up on the truck and the top is down near the front of the photo. The window on the far side of the cap was busted.

This is all the pictures they have sent me thus far. Not sure if my dad took any of the damage at my sister's house.

my inlaws have a place on captiva. luckily they are up here during the summer. they havent been able to find out how their place faired yet...

it looks like we probably wont be heading down there for a "cheap vacation" with the kids this year...

the wife and i were down there for our honeymoon when andrew hit, and we got evacuated. they got lucky with that one...

Dave, looks like your family came away ok, altho that's easy for me to say, I bet they don't feel that way. We got some conflicting reports on my relatives situation. Now it sounds as tho the ones in Maple Leaf Estates just lost the front sun porch & the side porch. As for my great aunt in Punta Gorda, the report was the ceiling is bowed. Don't know what all that means but her grandson from PA. was to bring her back home with him till things get straightened out. She's the type that will work herself to the point of exhaustion. She still thinks she can do anything but at 94 & her balance off a little they figured it would be best to get her out of there.
