Sorry for taking so long to reply. We have power, but no internet/cable.
Once again, I was very fortunate through this storm. We were in the 2% of customers that our power company serves, that did not loose power. They reported that roughly 108,000 of their 109,000 customers were out of power. I don't know how I can be so lucky.
We had about 10 extra family members at my house most of the day yesterday, since we had power (and air conditioning) and they did not.
I had a few shingles blow off my new roof, but really no significant damage to any of my property.
The center of the storm passed about 25 miles west of me, so my area got the worst of it. Lots of trees down and roof damage.
I don't think the damage was as bad as it was for Laura, but it is more widespread.
Luckily, the storm weakened rapidly after landfall. We had probably 80-90 mph wind in my area. And , once the center of the storm made landfall, the rain stopped. I had about 4.5" of rain here, which is not a lot.
Now....what's next for 2020???
