Local farm supply store had 550xp for $100 off came to a bit over $500 - couldn稚 resist and picked one up. Came outfitted with 20 bar .50 .325 narrow kerf and Husqvarna sp33 chain. Have run about 5 tanks through this little monster and am very impressed. I am no arborist or logger but have long hours running chainsaws. Felled and bucked 5 trees ranging from 12-24 on Saturday. I have a Husqvarna 372xp, Dolmar/Makita 6401 x 2, and a Dolmar 421 and this 550xp with the .325 setup is the best limbing saw I have ever used. Revs super fast and limbs so smooth. Awesome antivibe and runs amazingly long on a tank. Starts first pull every time and no carb to dink with. I think if a feller wanted one saw for firewood and general use this would be hard to beat. As I am now in my 50s the light weight is huge as well. Hopefully it will hold up to a lot of use. I was impressed with the sp33 chain as well - cut very fast and stayed sharp longer than most cuttin white pine oak and dead ash. Just thought I would share my observations if anyone was considering a new saw.

I really like my 550xp, I've had it a few years now,

NOW, if I just figure out to keep logs from rolling on it!! lol

I've had the same saw for about 3 years now, consider modifying the muffler if you really want to make it scream (uTube vids on how to do it). Great saw, but curious about how well you feel the bar oiler works. Mine is very miserly, even with it turned up all the way a 16" bar will still get purple hot spots on the bar chain rails.

Sawyer Rob nice tractor back there - looks like you have a grapple. I too employ my grapple for easy fast back saving bucking. If I figure out how to include a picture I will put one up of my rig.

Gsganzer I also have some concerns about the oiler. Although I didn稚 have any problems so far in limited use with the stock 20 bar and chain it seemed to use less than a half tank of bar oil per tank o gas. On my bigger saws I generally have the oilers turned up to near max and they use about 3/4 tank oil per tank of gas. I tried to adjust the oiler on the 550xp but the adjustment screw seems really stiff and it kind of clicked almost like it had a two stage fixed adjustment. I didn稚 want to reef on it and break it so I didn稚 press the issue. I have changed an oiler (amongst many other parts) on my old beat 372xp and that was a bit of a pain. Does the oiler adjustment screw on yours turn easily and smoothly?
