Comparison Husqvarna GT48DXLS Compared to John Deere

Hey Smoothas, did you notice that JD took down all of there videos on the D series being built in Greenville Tn?

I was gonna pull up one of the videos they had up talking about the JD 3 piece hood and how it's made to flex with the tractor, they were admitting there tractor flexes and they built the 3 piece hood to flex with the tractor without breaking lol but that video is nowhere to be found, Greenville isn't even on the JD website under visit the factories now.

They had a whole page boasting about how the D series were only built in Tennessee and that's all gone. Strange

Remember we argued on that topic a few months ago, now poof, it's all gone.

We didnt argue about it-- we disagreed John - I was right and you were wrong- I believe I am 20-0 against you. I should start charging you for the education I'm giving you..LOL But anyway Not sure where video is- you may or may not have noticed John Deere is upgrading thier website so a lot of things have changed in last few days

Your people skills never cease to amaze lol.

In fear of getting this tread locked, I will leave the rest of your comment alone lol

Here is some more info of Deere: the X300 series are known for poor quality hoods that crack and break apart prematurely.

The X300 series is known for poor deck discharge with the edge deck, slightly better with a TurboStar deck and is useless for a bagger unless a booster is used.

The D series mowers are known to catch on fire and in every case I found JD did not stand by the customer so it was a total loss.

I will mention but not include the lack of warranty support from JD on repairs, the price gouge JD charges for transporting equipment and service, I could go on and on.

Unlike you I will post where my info came from

79 JOHN DEERE Reviews and Complaints @ Pissed Consumer

That over priced JD 100 (Matchboxes) and 300 series look real good now, so it's down to the x500 series which is double the cost of the Husqvarna and don't offer differential lock.

Dude-- I never said John Deere has no problems- or never had a failure. you post a link to pisst people with years old mainly D100 series tractors or Zero turns

The JD 100 series is about the same as Husvarna- they compete in same market- except for D100 series has about half the problems husqvarna does( fact I posted the link last time I schooled you)

You made similar claims about Husqvarna models and have yet to post where you read about the problems from, I'm guessing most are as old or older than the info I posted.

And no I have no intentions to lock this thread or make things personal, every time something negative is said about Deere you make personal jabs at people instead of sticking on topic.

Also I'm very happy with my GTH2454T thanks for asking, a model that has not been discussed yet.

If you claim that ALL Husqvarna lawn tractors have a weak frame just make that statement and stick to facts.

I wonder why anyone who is searching for or gets a mower or tractor wants to compare their find with a John Deere? JD definitely has something going for them.

Same reason every small car gets compared to a Yugo.

I am kind of amazed how special some think the Husky is -- I saw this particular model for the first time this weekend, and it's not any better than preceding models which I looked at last year and the year before. All they did was repackage it with a better configuration/options. Look at the frame and the construction and it's the same as their cheesier GT models you can buy at Lowes. I think the GT48 is among the best options in a Husky but it's not on par with the X300 models when you consider the fundamentals like frame, fit/finish, design, etc. Of course it should cost less!

Deere corporate knew the Husqvarna model was coming early this year. I believe that is why their $500 rebate on an X380 purchase was timed right before the GT48DXLS began to be distributed. Time will tell, but I believe there will be a downward adjustment to the X380 price since it isn't really price competitive with new models.

I had to reply to this directly -- Deere also offered a rebate last year in 2016 when I bought my X380. They must have had some extra special ESP to know the 2017 Husky was coming that far in advance!! Heck, I bet the annual Deere spring rebates all those previous years were in anticipation of the GT48 too! Deere has been gearing up for this supertastic new competitor for decades with their annual spring rebates!!

Seriously folks, get over yourselves, it's a consumer lawn mower.

The GT48 is special, when compared to other $3000 machines.
