There is zero oversight in the hydraulic oil industry. I could put cat piss in a bucket and call it J20-C until I lost a civil suit.

Haha........

And we have this to make comparing viscosities just that much easier: ;) (thanks to 'Bob is the Oil Guy')

IIRC, ISO 46 is 'light' hydraulic and ISO 68 is 'heavy' for our use. (AGMA #1 & #2)

(See notes at the bottom of the pic.)

I asked my dealer about using Super UDT and they said I shouldn't.

You might ask your Alaska dealer what they recommend for the cold.
Curious, did they give a reason?

Since I have had some issues with cold mobil 424 on my 2400H I mixed regular hygard & low vis hygard. 2.5 gallons hygard and around three quarter Gallon low vis. Have Had no cold problem so far. Typically lows around here are 0 - 10 degrees when moving snow.

This is actual John Deere oil purchased at JD dealer

He means it. He knows it.

We have a choice to find the best for the bucks or to pay for the 'insurance' of stuff well-advised.

We have career farmers and we have career 'boys in the back room' (with seniority therein our #1 parts counter guy :))

Aren't there higher j2xd specs by know?

Update
Put in J20d fluid about three weeks ago. Got it from a local John Deere dealer and it was much cheaper than the alternatives in my area. Works SOOOO much better in cold now. -10 f is no big deal.

I'm not at all surprised it's working for you. That's more important than any cost difference.

Changing the hydraulic filter was a pita. To tight to get a metal loop style wrench or a jaw style wrench on the filter. Ended up getting a filter wrench that has the rubber strap (out of autozone)
