That plate itself is 3/8" thick. The 1/4" is just the "wings" that really just center the male plate in the female plate and are not subject to any high loads.

I used a 3/8" angle for top and mottom lips and 6 x 1/4 plate for the mid section (stiffened more by what it was ultimately welded to). Plasma cutter for the latch pin cut-outs.

I don't know, Marrt posted dimensions, but I believe it was for a PT-425.

If anyone has the dimensions for a 1445 Quick-Attach plate, please post.

I haven't tried to build an attachment plate yet, but wouldn't the demensions inside the lip of the plate be more critical than the demensions outside of the plate lips? If you built it out of thicker metal and used the outside deminisions it mightnot fit. I have an idea on how to make an attachment plate without too much trouble but before I'd mentions what it is I would want to check it out first.

Yes that is very true. I guess I should have had the plate turned over on its back. I tried to make the marks indicating the inside dimensions. The dimensions I listed are the inside ones. Thanks for bringing that to our attention. also the extra 1/8" in the overall top to bottom length must have been added by the bend in the plate.

Due to the order in which people replied, if I pull those posts, we'll lose lots of replies. Sorry. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I could edit the post to say it is incorrect information, or I may be able to replace the original pictures with the ones that you just posted. What would you like?

I don't have any pics of the complete plates (although they have been completed). My wife took the camera on a week end outing with her friends. I do hower ever have some pics of the parts. I will show them now. The parts were welded to a 12 by 19 piece of 1/4 inch plate. Unlike the factory plate there is about 2 inchs that extents downward from the bottom lug hook ups. Soon as i get a camera i will post some pics of the complete unit.
