I have a BX22, 1 year old. Last week we got snow and I plowed. This weekend I wanted to dress up the drive, I went out to get her out and there was a problem. All the hydraulic operations work with the exception of the front bucket will not lower..?? It will do all the other operations, lift & curl. My Kubota dealer is closed today and was lookin for some help.

HELP!

Thanks

If you have quick-attach fittings going to the loader, check that one of those didn't pop out. If one becomes unseated, the loader will act similarly to your description.

What Jim said plus the fittings may or may not look like it has come loose. Sometimes they are not seated, but they look like it.

What I forgot to add is that the lever for the front bucket will not move forward (to lower bucket) the piston will not go into the control valve. It will come out (to lift bucket) and the left/right is working fine.

Thanks again

There were threads last year about the valve getting some ice in it and not allowing full operation. Hopefully warm weather will cure the situation.

There are a couple of caps on the bottom of the valve. They will fill with water from condensation and when left in the cold they freeze. We remove them and put little holes in the bottom of them to allow the water to get out hopefully before it freezes. To use a hair dryer will thaw the water and it will work again.

Art,
Just a thought. What about drilling the small hole and the using the hair drier without taking the cap off of the tractor?

My BX did the same thing last summer, so i know it wasn't frozen. I disconnected the lines and reconnected them and it started working. Never fig. out what was wrong, but it worked after that so i never gave it any more thought. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
