Hydraulic Box blade

How's that TYM treating you? I'm looking for something similar this spring.

So far, pretty good. Some minor annoyances that are documented in the TYM section of this forum. For the money, I'd buy TYM again or Kioti (if dealer was closer). Had a Kubota which was great, but they are too pricey in my opinion.

With any luck I can get the box blade bought and modified. I have been to the scrap yard the last few days to get some iron to make a welding table so I might have something handy in the scrap pile.

Making a "T" shape out of that bar will certainly add strength to it.
Do you have, or can you take a couple more photos of the way the scarifiers are attached to the lift bar? Also of how the scarifiers ride through the main beam as they are lifted up and down.

The picture I posted was from another thread however it is the same as the one I am looking at. I might be able to get some pictures tomorrow.

Thanks for posting those photos for me.
Those really help show me how their linkage is. I want to make my wife's box blade with hydraulic rippers but I don't want to do it with gears like when I modified mine. This is a much simpler way to do it.

Rob, You are welcome. I have a few more pictures, but they are from my phone. Hooked the BB up a few hours ago and gave it a whirl. I thought the ground would be frozen, but it worked very nice!!

Gittyup - That IS the first time anyone has ever told ME that!

If you clean that BB up and give it a paint job, it will look like new. I just did a Gannon roll over BB about a month ago, it is over 30yrs old. Sand blasted and some black paint and it looks as good as my newer one, maybe better.

I am still in the dog house for the backhoe restoration project. When painting last year I had the windows cracked in the garage for ventilation. Now 1/2 the screen is Kubota orange. Your right, maybe red would look better?
