I have a cat228 that I've been having problem with lately.

the hydraulic cables required to connect attachment are sometimes impossible to attach. Looks like they are under pressure, and I'm wondering why this happens. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

can this be avoided? or does it require repair/replacement?

any help appreciated /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Shut the machine down and work the lever or whatever to that set of hoses. That will relieve the pressure. If that doesn't work. Use something round to push in the ball on the end of the connector and be prepared to get squirted unless you wrap a rag around the fitting.
