If you remove your pump a good hyd shop can test it for you for around $50. If th pump test good, then I would remove the relief valves from the FEL and inspect, clean, reset the relief pressure.

I'd say the best is to test it on the tractor, that way the flow/load test will see if it is air entrainment, pump efficiency problems, oil starvationl, relief valve trouble

I have a 2011 5083 with large loader, and 595 JD backhoe with 60 some hours on it now, I have owned it for 3 months, and it has spent 5+ weeks in the shop due to hydraulic issues. JD replaced every major component and it still has issues, hydrualic fluid is white because of the foam, growling when it gets warm. Initially it seemed as if they had identified and corrected by putting an anit-cavitation device on it.
We identified the problem the day it was delivered, dealer said it was probably air, run it. I continued to complain and they sent someone out to look at it, he agreed that the backhoe was not running correctly and he heard the growling. This is all before the 5 weeks in shop and parts swapping.
I have had it back for about 2 weeks and noticed an issue again, dealer came out yesterday and said it was 3 gallons low on fluid, but not sure where it went since we have not seen any major leaks. They filled it and the hydraulic fluid is still foamy and it still growls when it gets warm.
JD Corp has indicated verbally to dealer that they will cover 2 months payments and extend warrenty by 6 months. That is great, but machine is still not running right

Looks like you need a troubleshooter rather than a parts changer

I would have to agree with you, I told the dealer the same thing and they said they dont get paid unless they do exactly what JD wants and says.

Congrats on the new tractor, I hope you have better luck. The tractor itself is awesome, the amount of power it puts to the ground is truely something. I just put a 72in grapple on the FEL and once JD gets things squared away I think I am going to be really impressed with the machine. It's JD corp that I am not very impressed with at this point, as well as the dealership. I guess it's a learning experience.

God Bless you all

Whoa... is that a "total parts" replacement? Congrats! (No black axles on the new e's..)

Why not go another yard or so to 1st down territory - M series?

Nonetheless, sure like the looks of these new Deere's!!

I am looking at a warranty bill that shows, a total of $9,073.43 for the parts and labor.
Leaving out shipping charges for brevity
Hydraulic Pump: $785.99
Selective Control Valve: $1,483
Control Valve: $2,654.20
Total parts: $5,362.43
Total Labor: $3,705.00

I would have loved the M(My Kids would love the trainer seat) but the rig I have with FEL and 595 Backhoe and the additional hydraulics for FEL attachments topped out at $63,000. I figured that was enough for the first round on high end tractors. I dont use them to make a living yet(they are just a really cool toy) and help me burn off stress

Wow, being in the repair business, I would have been shot if I gave out a bill for that.....

I don't like the mentality of "Keep changing parts till it works".....

Although it is warranty work, someone still has to pay the bill (New JD owners)

Been the delima since I bought the first one. Since the new 83e has essentially the same console and cab, rear remote setup, air filter, and all green paint it was hard to justify the upgrade.
