Hi everyone. I was out using the FEL on my L2350 earlier today and had a hose blow, from the control stick to the hard lines. I spent much of the day tracking down parts to fix it. I managed to find a hose and some fittings, except one. Does anybody know what size flare fitting is used where it attaches to the hard lines?

You should be able to measure the OD of the hard lines and this will 99% of the time dictate the fitting size, Being Kubota I would suspect the line are metric so standard sizes would be 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm. Fitting end sizes are then called out by the OD size of the tubing.

American sizes are: 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1". The fitting sizes are then referenced by the number of 1/16" increments in the actual size. I.e 3/8" = #6, 1/2" = #8, 5/8 = #10

Thanks for the info, I had thought this too. The hose is 3/8", the quick connect end is a 1/4" npt fitting and the other is a flare; 1/2" is too big, 3/8" is too small. Think I'm just gonna have to order a new hose.

Take your busted hose and fittings to a farm tractor store. Most large dealers (maybe small ones too) can fabricate almost any hose you can think of.

Yea, I'm gonna do that today. It was a matter of necessity to patch it last night. It blew while I was out in the field, wanted to get it back inside before the storms hit. Ended up just tarping it for the night.

Lynxs1981,
Yep, had 4 pop on my 10yo. LA210. I figured since they were all the same age & a pita to have the FEL down, I'd do 'em all. My local dealer didn't have enough of the 45* fittings & he wanted $600 for them . I took them to a local hydraulics place. 20 minutes & $200 later I had all 8 hoses, & 2 new Quick (rusted shut) connects in my hot little hands. Be careful if you use the 45* fittings. The 2 I have for the top 2 places on my control stick didn't quite make the angle & I had to go over the top of the mounting bracket instead of through it. The ferrule is longer on the new hose fitting & won't bend to go under the bracket. Otherwise a perfect fit. I'll order in a bunch of the Kubota fittings (since they're used all over my BX22) so I have the stock need for a replacement fitting. HTH

T-Man.

Those are some crazy expensive prices, what brand of hose/fittings was the shop you went to using?

What model loader is on that tractor? Is it an LA400, an LB400, or was it a BF series loader? I can't remember that far back.
