I have a 8hp brigs motor(vertical shaft) I'm going to put a 4gpm pump on it with flexible coupling. Do I buy a CW or CCW pump.

Clockwise..
If using a coupling,look at the motors shaft and check the rotation.Buy a pump that rotates opposite...like looking into a mirror.
If belt driven and the pump and motor are on the same side of the belt,the rotation would be the same.
