Hydraulic hoses are difficult to re-connect

Just tap the little ball at the end of the male and 'burp' that side to relief pressure built up.
On the female coupler you can either temporarily do an 'almost' reconnect so as to burp that side, that, or use a ,say, 3/8 bolt and depress the recessed little ball inside.
Those 'burps' will simply result in a teaspoon or so of fluid loss but make connecting much easier.
Also cycling the circuit valves after shut down greatly helps to equalize the pressures.

I do one extra step. After disconnect from the tractor supply, I reconnect the hoses to each other on the grapple side. and disconnect , and a bit more fluid will weep out. This leaves a "deficit" of fluid in the hoses. Then I connect the hoses to each other. Then even if temp changes or implement relaxes just a bit, since there is a deficit of fluid in the hoses, and pressure never builds. I NEVER have difficulty connecting hoses with this method. The other advantage is now the hoses are connected to each other and dirt/water cannot get in.

I also reconnect the hoses together each time I remove an implement.

Release the oil pressure .
Do you have the operator’s ´ manual on how to operate the SCV connections ?

lower the implement so there is no pressure on the lift or the cylinder, before unhooking, that will usually there is one side that is workable (sometimes both),

hook up the side that one can, and if the other side is still pressurized, work the lever an release pressure out of the cylinder via the control lever, if the problem is on the valve side work the lever one way and if that does not help try the other way,

if the cylinder is supporting something you may have release the weight off it, or bleed out the fluid

if one unhooked it and the temperature has made a major change (more so got warmer) one may have pop the ends, to release pressure,
