Ok, lets break down your last post.

It is obviously a hydraulic problem.

You mention oil leaking. Is this motor oil or hydraulic oil???

And you say you checked the dipstick. That is enging oil and should have nothing to do with the hydraulics. (Unless a HST has a dipstick???) My GST just has the sight glass.

And now the hissing. Depending on the tone of the hissing, I can think of two possible things.

1. A restriction on the high pressure side
2. A air leak on the suction side.

A restriction could be cause by debris or even ice this time of year. A little condensation can freeze up and plug a small passage like the QD's. But once everything is warm, it should go away.

And since you mentioned an oil leak, I am leaning toward the suction side. Given your post count, I am sure you have heard of the problematic cracking of the suction hose???? That is why I didn't mention it at first but sounds even more likely to be the cause now. That could explain both the little bit of leaking, the hissing, AND the power/speed issues.

Check that and report back.

It is an engine oil leak-- sorry about that.. NO Hydraulic fluid is leaking..
That has stayed pretty constant since I changed the filters last time.....

I am thinking it is likely to be the ice issue...
There was zero problems earlier when I did some test runs..

Let me

Ok.. The problem its back.. Intermittently..
Here is the latest:
When it happens raising and lowering the 3ph a couple if times solves it.
The hissing is coming from the hydraulic block under the hst pedal.
So if I have time today I'm going to pull the filter and see if it stopped up or restricted. And then maybe pull the pressure relief plug and see if there us garbage there.

I won't have a lot of time til next week as I have to pack for a trip that I leave for in the morning. Then when I come home, the next day I've got another 17 hour day. So thursday at lunch I'll be off for the week..

So if I'm quiet with results that is why..

Later taters!

Yes the engine oil between the holes is correct with the top hole being the full limit and the lower being the minimum acceptable limit.

I would look closely at the hydraulic return/suction line. It is a low pressure line that just has spring clamps sealing it off. The are known to crack and leak.

Do you have a repair manual and/or a parts manual?

I do not have either of the manuals.
But that does sound very likely to me.
