I'll swap all 4 lines when the rain stops and report back. If in fact the cylinder(s) are bad, can I do the job or do they need to go to a hydraulic shop?
I'm new here, but what a site!
We have recently purchased a very low-hour, 'gray market' YM2200 that's having an issue with the front bucket not being able to hold a setting. When you tip it up, it only holds that position for 30 seconds or so. It did have a loose return hose (repaired) and a mildly leaking hose to the bucket (replaced). The oil level was topped off and all the leaks seem to be fixed. It has at least an hour of run time since the repairs and it's still not behaving. The service book we got is not, shall we say, the best...so I came here for advice!![]()
Is it possible that it still has air in the system? Is there a check-valve that may need attention? Perhaps the filter needs cleaning? That said, where is the silly thing? :confused2:
Thanks!

I'd be very skeptical of the 100 hrs myself if it was coming from someone we didn't have history with. That said, I'll never know the actual history of the tractor because we didn't build it. I can say it was in (almost) better condition than the new models sitting down the road out in the weather! Hydraulic House is just down the street from my shop, so I'll drag the parts to them if that's what it comes to. Should the rams be serviced in pairs if that's the problem?
