New B21 owner. Did my 50 HR service and now the oil strainer for the HST charge pump leaks. Part of the service requires this screen to be cleaned. When I removed this strainer from the tank it seemed loose fitting. The grove & O-ring looked fine but was loose after reinstalling. Now it leaks. The service guys say you have to replace O-ring. I think the strainer is just a little loose and allow the O-ring to flop around too much?

Otherwise I have been very pleased with the B21. It’s one tough little machine.

Might try your local hardware store and see if they have an o-ring the same diameter but slightly "thicker". My B2400 has 2 o-rings, 1 at the bolt head and 1 on trans side of pick-up tube from strainer. Could it be the inner is misaligned? Good Luck

Leak fixed. It was just a simple mistake when reassembling the strainer into the tank. I installed the keeper incorrectly on top of the strainer instead of the grove provided for it.

Since I had to drain a couple gallons of UDT out I decided to just replace it. My hydraulic system is well flushed now.

I've dug out a few stumps with my B21 and an oak that size would be about 3+ hours work.
I love my B21 also but digging stumps is often a mismatch.

My picture is probably a little misleading. Here I’m just moving the stump after I separated it from the tree. I don’t actually dig the stump out. I just dig around the root-ball then attach a chain to the tree about 25’ up and pull it over. The tree does all the work pulling the stump out. I’m getting ready to pull this one out tomorrow. You can see I have the chain already to go.

The bigger challenge is moving the stump afterwards. I try to knock off as much dirt as possible but they weigh much more than FEL can handle. To get better traction I fill the FEL with dirt then I start tugging, pulling, flipping and rolling the **** thing back to my holler.

It’s fun to watch’em take off & disappear down there /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
