I knew it as soon as I saw it. Took me a min to find the exact quote.

Do you have a TSC by you? If so use Travellers Premium Hydraulic oil or a Rural King will carry Mobil 424.

I have them here, I will check them out on the next hydraulic change in 400 hours....

Members have posted that they have used the TSC, Travellers "Premium" Hydraulic oil with good results. If you go this route, there are two Travelers fluids. Look for the one that has Premium on the bucket.

I am looking to change mine as well on a Montana 2740. Tsc & Rural King has a 303 for wet brakes. It list a SAE 10-30. But the traveler premium doesn't list anything on that. I seam to have issues in colder weather and would like to go with the thinest I can get by with. Also hope that may help with gpm. Does anyone know?

The Traveler Premium is also a multi viscosity 10w-30 oil. I had to do a bunch of research years ago to finally find out the weight. My Kioti CK30hst calls for 10w30 hydro oil. Fel still slighty slow for the first 5 minutes when the temps are under 20'F but 3pt is fine. I think you'd be fine with either.

Thanks VictorW. I changed just the filter and it helped a great deal. Just bought the tractor so not sure what they may have put in it.

I have been researching oils for my service, I'm going to go ahead and change the Hydro oil along with the filter.

My book recommends several oils, but I can't seem to find them locally without going to the dealer with a mark-up on the price.

Recommends: Shell Donax-TD
Mobilfluid 424
Exxon Hydraul 560
Tractran UTH
Daedong UTF 55

Looking at some labels and other "Universal" oils I am not seeing a cross over. Way to many types to chose from and I don't know enough about them right now.

What are you all running in a gear shift Kioti's CK series?

I believe my OM says the same thing about hydro oil.
I am about 30 hours away from the 200 hour change out. I do have a TSC close to my home so if this group feels the "Premium" oil is good quality, that's what I will go with.

Others are ordering the Mobilfluid 424 on line. I used the TSC Traveller UTF. One of the specifics is it should be rated for wet brakes. I tried contacting Kioti and they basically said check the manual. I think the Shell Donex doesn't exist anymore.

BTW you are going to have a **** of a time removing the hydraulic filter that resides underneath by the right tire. Most people are using a chain wrench like the one I got from HFT for about $7. Nothing else will take it off. I added some red dye I got from Deere so the clear fluid is easier to see on the dipstick and also if you have a leak.
I have had good luck tightening and removing my big hydraulic filter witih an ordinary but apparently a bit larger oil filter steel band type wrench. I always end up super tightening that big hydraulic because on both kioti's (ck20 and ck 2015) that bigblack hydro filter bleeds hydro oil. I have used that steel band filter for seven years now and despite my need to tighten the can I have always been successful removing or tightening with that particular wrench.
