Hydraulic problem / questions

Most tractors wil have 2 relief valves. The first is the system relief and it is located near the 3pt. The other is in the loader valve itself. It would be a cartridge that just unscrews.

Regarding the loader relief valve- will this be located at the loader control AND does the fluid need to be drained prior to removing and inspecting the valve?

Also- when I raise the loader to full up and raise the rear blade fully up, the engine noise, for lack of the wrong words, changes to compensate for the "load". Can I assume that this is a normal finding, since the fluid is now under an increased pressure or does this tell you anything regarding the hydraulic pump?

The FEL relief valve on my John Deere is located on the control valve as a part of the control valve system and is adjustable.
To get information that is specific to your brand of tractor you may want to go the Forum that matches your make of tractor. The folks there will probably be better qualified to answer your questions.

No, but there will be some residual fluid in the lines, just enough to make a mess but not more than a few tablespoons full.

The suggestion about going to the Yanmar forum is a good one. Maybe someone there can help you, especially in obtaining a workshop manual for the loader.
