hydraulic problem

My 1050 (1980) with enhanced hydraulic kit has a problem. The 3- point will not lift and high pressure line is foamy. someone told me that low pressure suction line{s} could be sucking in air. sure enough it was around union of steel line and hydrraulic hose. problem is JD does not support this model anymore as far parts go. 7/8 inch inner diameter hydraulic hose and some other funky elbowed hose need replacing and I need a fix. Auto parts stores are telling me that they cannot get this size anymore. They called it a 14 and hasn't been used in years?What a pain. Enhanced hydrraulic kit my butt

Try a sealant like permatex or go to a well equipped hydraulic shop and have new lines made up.

I assume when you say enhanced hydraulic kit, you mean increased capacity steering kit. The elbow hose in the enhanced kit is still available. Part number is CH13993. The double elbow hose shown in the other diagram is still available, part number CH13769 but I think that hose is not used when enhanced kit is installed. The straight hose, part number CH13767 is not available under that number, but deere does sell bulk hose the same diameter under part number TY24402. It comes in a 10 foot roll but most dealers will sell by the inch or by the foot. Good luck!

My local JD dealer will fab up hydraulic hoses - and they're more than happy - if you buy (order) all the necessary fittings to go with the hoses, too!! :thumbsup:
