I have two log splitters and I'm in the process of swapping the engine from one into the other. Both were purchased used and have pumps of unknown GPM. I was initially planning on just swapping the engines, but if the pump from my old one is higher capacity than the pump on the new one, I'll swap the pump as well. Anything to get a faster cycle time
How do you ID these things? The pump on splitter number one has the following markings on the tag:
John S. Barnes Corporation (I guess before it became Haldex/Barnes?)
8/83 (Sounds like a date?) E
1001077
That's it, no other markings. It's a two stage pump of course. Is there a site anywhere you can look this stuff up?
