Tractor
new holland tc- 35
I am working on installing an old meyers 6 ' snow plow on a 1989 Ford 1320 tractor with FEL. I had the same plow mounted on my 2001 New Holland TC-35 for years. I bolted the old truck plow frame inside the bucket and disconnected the hydraulic lines for the curl function on the bucket and ran them to the angle cylinders on the snow plow. It worked perfectly for years until I bought a truck with a plow and have not used it since. A good friend of mine bought the 1320 a while back and we mounted the meyers snowplow to it and we cannot get the angle function to work. We hooked it up exactly the same as I did on my TC-35 and the plow will only angle in one direction and stop. If I switch the lines on the loader quick disconnect it will angle the other way and stop. It was driving me crazy so just to prove to my buddy that it did work I hooked it up to my TC-35 into the curl function as before and it worked perfectly. Just for fun we hooked it up to the lift lower hydraulic circuit on the 1320 loader and low and behold it works perfectly it will angle in both directions no problem. The curl function on the 1320 works perfectly with the bucket hooked up but will not angle the plow from side to side. I cannot understand how the curl function will work with the bucket but yet it will not angle the plow.
Any thoughts on what could be the cause would be greatly appreciated.

Does the 1320 ford loader valve have a regenerative feature for fast bucket dump? If so, that may be causing the problem.

Yeah. On some valves the first rightward position is regen. You have to go hard rightward to get power dump. That could be a problem. The conventional arrangement which has the power dump in the first rightward position should be easier to control.

I am not familiar with regenerative feature. How can I determine if it is equipped with regen or not

How to determine if loader bucket dump is regenerative? - Yahoo Search Results

There is a lot of reading here regarding the topic. One quick way to determine if your valve has a regenerative spool for the bucket dump is if there are four distinct positions of the spool lever including the centered position. The fourth position normally requires extra effort to shift the valve spool with the lever.

Edit: But the valve could also be regenerative with only three positions. The difference is with a four position regenerative spool, there is the operator option of using the regenerative quick bucket dump.

Put the bucket down hard and flat. Try to uncurl [dump]. The bucket will immediately begin to dump and lift the front of the tractor if power dump is the first rightward position. I suspect the TC35 has the power dump in this 1st position. If it lifts tractor as described continue to push rightward. If this causes it to fall back flat your regen is the far right position. If the tractor stays up you dont have regen.

I will have to give that a try tomorrow but I think it was only two positions curl up or dump.
If that is the case what are our other options for angling the blade. The tractor has a set of rear remotes but I didn't see any way to control them

Thanks everyone for your help.
The curl function is regen after all.
I think we may just switch the lines from curl to lift function and just run it like that.
He is only going to use it for his own driveway and will just have to get use to it

I quess you mean the dump function is regen? No power dump?
