Hydraulic tank leaks

My hydraulic tank has started leaking around two of the bolts holding the access plate on. The bolts seem tight, and I did tighten them a little more, but I am still getting enough oil leakage to get dust coated oil spots.

Anyone else had this issue? What have you done? Do I pull the whole thing and start with a new cork gasket? Or is there a better form-a-gasket material? Is there a recommended thread sealer?

My cap stopped breathing and I was getting the issue you described.

New cap, cleaned everything.

Any heat tolerant, non fouling thread sealer is fine. I switched to a synthetic seal.
