Guess I'm missing something here. I certainly understand not wanting to get a grapple with a different type mounting system than the one that's on your brand new tractor, but why on earth would you want to go lighter duty? That new tractor is a major league BEAST!!! In my opinion, it deserves the most heavy-duty grapple you can afford (unless you really enjoy bending steel). And smaller than 60"? You'd never find that on my DK55!!! I've got a 66" Piranha on my Mahindra 4110 (about the same as the front track) and I couldn't even imagine going smaller.curly said:Now all I have to do is make up my mind on which grapple. I already had a 60" double clamping style (WRLong) ordered when I thought I was getting the Montana 4540. As it turns out, that one is sitting at the dealer who gave me the bad tractor quote to begin with. Since they paid for it, it's their'sIt's also set up for pins and the tractor I ended up (Kioti DK55) with is skid steer. They said they can change that over easy enough though. So, my delima is, should I go ahead and get it since it's what I originally ordered, or should I get a lighter weight, shorter, less expensive one.
Although I would really like to help them out and take this grapple off their hands, it'll prolly sit on their lot for years...I don't feel at all obligated. After reading all the stuff on grapples, I'd really like to save the money and go lighter weight, and prolly will.
