Well I got it. It was used with 360 hrs or so. Still has 2 1/2 yrs on the warranty. I paid 16,500. It has the 2 sets of remotes with the 3rd function hydralic on front. When we were hooking up his box blade and trying out the 3ph, I mentioned a hydralic top link. He said, 'Yeah, I'm keeping that, it was to hard for me to make"...or something to that effect. I could not talk him out of that hydralic top link. He said he was eventually gonna buy a smaller/cheaper tractor and pay cash and he wanted it.

Chubby was mad cause I wouldn't let him drive it.

Here's the tractor house. So it looks like I need a box blade to level out that road to the tractor barn...right. I poked around at it with the bucket but wasn't getting anywhere. So now I have to exchange my 60" toothbar for a 72", get a bb, re-order a grapple, get a bush hog type mower. The fun can begin now

Good show Curly!!! That's a very nice machine... with the exact same FEL bucket (by KMW) that I've now got on my Mahindra 4110! Nifty!!!

That is one heck of a machine. You got a real good deal on it too. You can get your hydraulic top link from CCM. I'll bet you can't wait to start moving dirt and what ever now.

I ordered my hydralic toplink from Wallace, with some other stuff. That should be here soon. Now all I have to do is make up my mind on which grapple. I already had a 60" double clamping style (WRLong) ordered when I thought I was getting the Montana 4540. As it turns out, that one is sitting at the dealer who gave me the bad tractor quote to begin with. Since they paid for it, it's their's It's also set up for pins and the tractor I ended up (Kioti DK55) with is skid steer. They said they can change that over easy enough though.

So, my delima is, should I go ahead and get it since it's what I originally ordered, or should I get a lighter weight, shorter, less expensive one. Although I would really like to help them out and take this grapple off their hands, it'll prolly sit on their lot for years...I don't feel at all obligated.

After reading all the stuff on grapples, I'd really like to save the money and go lighter weight, and prolly will.

Guess I'm missing something here. I certainly understand not wanting to get a grapple with a different type mounting system than the one that's on your brand new tractor, but why on earth would you want to go lighter duty? That new tractor is a major league BEAST!!! In my opinion, it deserves the most heavy-duty grapple you can afford (unless you really enjoy bending steel). And smaller than 60"? You'd never find that on my DK55!!! I've got a 66" Piranha on my Mahindra 4110 (about the same as the front track) and I couldn't even imagine going smaller.

That being said, and to prevent being flamed, I will respectfully acknowledge that not all of our needs are the same and that some folks here do extremely well with smaller, light-duty, single-cylinder grapples.

They said they will change it over to a skid steer attachment for me if I still want it. You have the double claws right? Do they ever seem to be a disadvantage vs a single claw in the middle. It seems like that single in the middle would help in some instances...or maybe one longer claw on the top vs the 2 claws. I like that piranha. How do those Piranha's compare to WRLong? If you could buy another right now, would you get 2 claws or 1 claw (in middle or full length)? Would you get 66" or longer or shorter? Anything at all different?
