Jiffy Hitch Systems http://jiffyhitchsystems.com has an ad in the Southeast edition of FASTLINE http://fastline.com about a self-contained HTL. It will work without tapping in to the existing hydraulics or it can be attached to the hydraulics. It sounds like it may be less expensive than adding another SCV. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this? Also, their Jiffy Hitch looks like it may be a good competitor to Freedom Hitch.

Looking at the self contained top link, it appears that the can on top is a reservoir to accomodate the exchange of fluid from one end to the other and is actuated by the weight of the implement. To lengthen the link, one would raise the implement and open the valve until it extended to the desired length. Reverse the operation to shorten. No operation under load.

I could only get to the first page - the secondary pages are "not found". All I could make out was two connectors, and the hoses going off the top of the page. Is the can you speak of above that? If so, maybe you could "upgrade" the hoses to get them over to the FEL ports?

There would be no need to "upgrade" the hoses to get them over to the FEL ports if you're talking about the self-contained model, since there are two separate models. The one that is not self-contained would need longer hoses probably to get to the FEL valve. I don't know whether the manufacturer will custom make the hoses the length you want or whether you would have to get them made locally, which should be no problem. I sent them a request for additional information, so we'll see what I get.
