Nope. Actually, I used the hoe over the weekend and pushed the lever for curl in the correct direction almost 75% of the time. It's slower and clumsier than a joystick button, but it works. I've spent so much time mowing that I haven't had much for modifications, anyway. The growth this spring has been faster than I've ever seen. Clipping pastures is supposed to be every month, or so, not every week.
In connection with the mowing, however, I am working on a PT mounted string trimmer. Separate post.

Yes - aux pto controls the curl. The thumb is fixed - with a bracket bolted around the dipper boom. The bucket therefore curls back against the fixed thumb. It not only will pick up a log, as heavy as the lift hydraulics will handle, but also enables a biting action while digging that minimizes pull on the tractor.

Although I haven't seen exactly a PTO replacement motor, Bailey is also a source of a lot of hydraulic stuff. I have ordered a seat and a wheel or two from them over the years, so receive their catalog. Yesterday, I spent a fair amount of time on the phone, being advised about the right motor choice for my string trimmer. They have been very helpful despite my minimal orders.

Ahh, a fixed thumb. That makes sense.

Wide Range:
I have a Power Trac 1845, with PTO maxima of 15 gpm and 3000 psi. Your system would require mounting a Power Trac quick-attach plate, either to your frame or to a modified frame. I looked at the website under construction and the eBay listing. Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember seeing the minimum necessary hydraulic flow and pressure to run the PTO motor.
I would appreciate some additional specs.

Here are the motor specs for the motor I am using. It is rated up to 14 gpm. A flow control valve can be added for machines larger than that for about $20.

I have had inquires from Power Trac owners on if I could make this adapter fit one of their units. But no one has given me any specs on their mounting plates or pictures, so I dont know what it would involve.

It's among the many things on my list that I haven't touched. In almost a year with the PT, however, I've not had occasion to need the 3-point adapter, so it slides down the list.
