What kind of backhoe is it? Sounds like a leakdown problem to me? Change the factory fluid and filters and keep the rpm's up for best hydraulic performance.

Farm trac says 1st change at 120hrs?? most others say 50hrs.
Could be your filters. stretching in the morning sounds like the time it takes for the pump to build up enough pressure could be a clog.Make sure to clean that not to easy to reach metal screen filter.

When I dig I run about 1500rpm-2000rpm.

They recommended a filter change at 50 hours. (Did that one.) then the full change at 100 hours. But since the tractor was in heavy use at the time. I called the dealer and he said to get the stuff ordered and change it before 120 hours. (I'm at 119.4 so I did push that a bit more than I probably should have. Just wanted to finish digging the ditches before the rain won!). The backhoe and loader is Farmtrac branded but I'm not sure who makes it for them.

Overnight is not really fast for a leak down, and it quite common on many hydraulic machines. I'm surprised that before you were able to have it stay up for a MONTH.

I have my backhoe down when it's on the tractor not being used, but it will leak down at least half way overnight if I leave it up without the boom lock in place. I don't find that unusual.

Don't worry that you waited a while on the fluid change, it was not that critical, but should be done now that you're near the 120 hours.

Is what you are calling "weak" , the increasing rate of leakdown in the cylinders when not being used ?
