Hydraulics dont work in the cold weather

I've always been wary of oil-pan/dipstick heaters, which allegedly can toast the oil in the local hot spot

I suppose that might be possible since it sits outside all the time. Maybe rain gets in the vent on top of the tranny?

I have some cracked boots on the backhoe that sets outside. I have found I can help the water issue by getting it hot, adding 32 oz of Sea Foam and working it for a while.

Ideally stopping the water source and changing out fluid and filters should be down. The oil part of Sea Foam is about 10 weight and the other parts evaporate in short order taking the water with it.
