I can now my fields and trails for 3 to 4 hours without any issues with the problems you folks are having. My tractor is mowing at 2500 rpms and in medium gear. Have you checked to see if your radiator fins are clogged up? That would cause the fluid to overheat. I blow mine out occasionally using a long tipped air nozzle. I think it is an air suction problem. I hope your Kioti dealer's can figure out the problem for you guys.
I can mow with my NX50 HST for hours without a problem also. It's only under certain conditions that I start experiencing erratic and/or loss of reverse travel. The conditions seems to include steep hilly terrain, a hot and humid day and after several hours of operation. The last time this happened (loss of reverse travel) I decided to proceed mowing in forward only instead of stopping for the day. To my surprise my reverse started to come back after about 20 minutes. I then started pushing the peddle in reverse and reverse came back completely to normal operation and never had an issue for the rest of the day (another hour or so). The next time I use the tractor, another hot and humid say, I did not use the PTO and I never experience a problem. I'm wondering if the problem is going to return now. I will need to mow again at the end of the week and I plan on using my stump grinder over the next few days so we will see what happens.
When my reverse started to come back it started erratic, but when I started pumping the peddle in reverse it started working less erratic and finally back to normal operation.
My shop manager told me the problem was probably in the transmission hydro flow control valves, the valves that makes the tractor go forward and reverse. They are controlled using coils. He said Kioti prefers to replace the entire unit that holds the valves instead of replacing individual parts. He said the next time I experience a problem he will do the R&R under warranty.
