Well I must publicly retrieve my JD dealer from under the bus. Not only did their service guy correctly predict that it was a case of plugged filters and nothing more, but the low vis Hy Gard cost me $140 for ten gallons.

Johanna is running well, and acting like her old self.

Oh. And I should maybe look at my hours meter a little more often. I was slightly off (read: way off) on the 400 hour statement. Too proud to say how far off though...

I just want to say thanks for bringing closure to this thread, which will help others in the future.

Yep... confession is good for the soul & all that.

And sometimes you feel really tested in life.

Today my sister left home for Korea for 2-3 years (brother-in-law in Army) and I'm coping by having some alone time on my tractor, and I'll be damned if I didn't find an old 3" tree buried in mud, that up and knocked the new hydraulic filter when I ran over it. There goes that investment in fluid and filter all over my (maybe, someday, if it ever gets done) wildflower field.
