The on/off lever on that tractor really has nothing to do with the PTO itself. The lever merely moves a valve spool, so if you feel something in the lever, I believe it's more likely in the hydraulics than in the PTO. Maybe even something sticky in the spool, or maybe in the cover mechanism?

I found those Vevor type Crimper's to break down after a couple uses! I looked up on Ebay a couple years ago "used hydraulic hose crimper" and got lucky to find a crimper starting bid $1300, and got it. I found that crimpers on Discount Hydraulics ( I think Dh100 ) parts and all crimp sizes fit it. I looked on Ebay but no low prices at this time.
