Well stated Jim wish I could write like that....

Ok, I'm no old hand when it comes to tractors, but I have NEVER had an easy time with a screwjack. Mine fought me every step of the way when it came to adjusting or installing the awful thing. I was all too happy to hang it up in the shed when I bought this. I keep it incase something goes wrong but I havent needed it yet. My biggest gripe with hydralink was the price but I'm using the heck out it and gettin my moneys worth.

Here is a member who says he has the hydralink. Maybe he will come back and tell us more.

Seems there is room in this thread for those to comment that think they would replace their screw-type top link for a hydraulink.

We've been clearing up the misplaced advertising that insinuates it is a hydraulic top link replacement, and I'd expect the company to not do that in their future sales program. No one likes to be decieved, even if the company claims it is not deceiving. :D

Bedlam Thank you for more eloquently making my points from my post #52. Quite misleading at best.

My point of the free trial was not the risk to consumer, but to point out a potentially beneficial strategy for the HDL company. 2500 of in field tests by a bunch of critical users. The company couldn't buy better endorsement. of course the downside would be if the product didn't perform, they'd hav e to close up shop. Wonder if they are up to the challenge??????

Gentlemen, I've tried to explain how our product works (without giving too much away) and to describe the benefits it offers. I am truly sorry that I've not been able to convey this. So, let's try again.

We want to earn your trust by answering your questions as best we can but it is hard to do when met with such overwhelming skepticism. Still, I like a challenge! Giving away a large quantity of top links to users around the country is simply out of the question. We've demonstrated in videos. There is a phone number on our website to call with your questions (click on the 'new owners button') and we are giving special attention to your questions here on TBN. Please... call or email us with your questions. We welcome them.

We know that HL is a new concept. It will take time to make believers out of people. But one customer at a time, we're making headway. With every live demonstration; trade-show instructional; and personal interactions we're adding to the number of HL users. HydrauLink is no trick. It's not a gimmick. It is exactly as we've presented it but it's hard for everyone to accept since it is so different. HL breaks the 'rules' when it comes to hydraulics. It works differently... but it does work.

So, please keep the questions coming. If you're skeptical, call us. Email us. We'll meet your questions head on and hopefully get you taken care of. We knew coming into this that TBN users were some of the more savvy tractor operators out there. If we can win you over, we will have won a major victory in getting our message out.

Is there any reason that an average individual could not make up a similar unit using a hyd cyl filled with fluid and an air space, and then couple the two ports together with a needle valve in the middle, and essentially do the same thing. Parts maybe about $120, or use a spare cyl you might have laying around. A swivel eye cyl would work well.

I suppose you could do this....but then not as neatly and in a tried and true design as these guys have done it.

I say....give em a break!! It's an intresting new concept and would work quite nicely for those guys that dont have hydraulics at the back of thier tractor to operate a cylinder. There are many times I could wish for such a top link.

I do agree on the mis-read of their advertising....but if it were my product I would be tempted to do the same thing.

Weeell... you can certainly give it a shot. You will likely run into some of the early problems we did, during development: leakage, poor performance, and/or fluid fill problems. Of course, we'd prefer you get one from us. We guarantee an ISO certified, quality-built top link that has passed field testing and is ready to make your job easier.

Thanks Foggy. We're working hard to earn the trust of customers like you.
