Why not get some hoses made up with loops in them to relieve stress.

The cooler on my 7610s has the lines making a gentle loop before attaching. No leaks.. no cracking..

I don't believe that the hoses are stressed that much, it more they blow up like balloons when tractor is running. The stress of that has to be more harmful than any shaking from the tractor. Why they didn't use curved metal for the bend and a straight piece of hydralic hose for joining to the other lines? Seems like it would be a quick fix for the problem.
I haven't noticed a problem yet with my new 33DA, I think the battery gasses on my old 33D may have caused some of the problems with the hoses falling apart. The radator showed signs of acid on it and I'm sure the whole area got exposed to the fumes.

Soundguy, I think it was you that posted a picture of yours last time when I was having the problems with mine, I just kind of figure they will be changed as part of my summer service, but, what you had would be a better long term fix.

I am mighty glad that when the radiator hose that the previous owner had put on mine blew it was in my back yard and not a customers house. It was an amazing amount of oil shooting out of there in a very short period of time.

Definetly a weak point, but at least the hoses are cheap and my dealer keeps a couple on the shelf.

Long time no hear soundguy,
Has anyone tried looping a hose on a TC. I didn't see this at all during my search. These things really do blow up like balloons. Especially the one on the right if your facing the cooler.

The must be using some 'no'-wire hydraulic hoses if they balloon up. I'm quite sure the hoses on my cooler are 4-wire.. they are as hard as a rock.. and don't change size at all.

Speaking from experience...if you don't change these nasty little hoses every year then you will live this nightmare. I inspected mine every 10 hours or so and all of a sudden one let loose due to a crack. Never even saw it coming. Sprayed fluid all over under the hood - ruined both aircleaners when it sucked fluid in the intake and made a royal mess. I'm still cleaning every couple hours and it's been 30 or so since it happened.

Change the two hydrostat cooler L shaped lines every season! That my philosophy and worth the 20 bucks!

IMHO.. If I had to change those hoses every year.. I'd find a tractor/manufacturer that was better organized. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Like I said.. the hoses onmy NH 7610s look great and tough.. no leaks, no cracks.. no balloning.. Seems like the smaller units need to take some notes ...

While doing a search for replacement filters for my NH tractor. I came across the tractor by net site and started reading posts. Have checked in the past for a site like this and did not find one. Now i am thrilled to have place to share and exchange info
One of the discussions i read was on the "L" hose's at the hydro cooler cracking . My tractor has almost 400 hours on it and is about three years old. So I ran my butt out to the garage,,, and, lots of cracks.
Zip.... to my dealer I go. Give me two please. Dealer said do not know why they go bad? Fourteen dollars please.. OK! OK! Got to go..
The way i changed my hose's was, loosen the four hose clamps, slide them onto the steel lines, remove the four bolts holding the cooler, rotate cooler down below steel lines, change one hose's at a time then reverse procedure. Lost almost no fluid at all. Of course cleaned area well be for starting. Checked for leaks, Ok . Boy do those hose's puff up Will be using plastic ties.
My tractor is my best toy,, love it

Waited one hour too long and sprung a pin hole leak in the hose. The hose looked fine. No obvious cracks. Just the normal bulging. Had the hood up while warming up the tractor and luckily "discovered" the leak before too much of a mess. I've conceded that these hoses need to be replaced on too regular a basis. Pretty much change them about ~150 hours. Haven't experienced any problems with a nice tight fit.

Note to NH. It's been years of the samo old problem. Where is the fix???

I put additional clamps or plastic ties out in the middle of the hoses on mine to support them and prevent them from balooning out so big.
