hydro weed wacker?

I was thinking I need to be able to get those weeds next to the fence posts ect. So I thought i would build an attachment that goes on my boom arm mower. I would replace the saw head with a spring loaded orbit motor that woould spin around 900 rpm. I would use a sngle section of poly broom from the bobcat dealer down the way. I think this should work well being spring loaded as I would not have to meve the boom arm in and out as I reach each post and I think that 900 rpm should be suficient for the spinn speed for the poly head. Am I a dumb ars or?

900 rpm is too low for string mower. The diameter would have to be quite large for effective cutting.
