Hydrostatic Drive and Independent Rear Braking

/ Hydrostatic Drive and Independent Rear Braking #31
I too have pondered this question regarding my TC-30. So far I have not gotten in a situation where I HAD to brake steer, but I am sure I will.

If you look at the linkage from the HST treadle to the top of the tranny it looks like a clever person could rig up a hand lever that would mount on the side of the vertical sheet metal cover so that you could take your foot off the treadle and activate a brake pedal while still having full control of the HST.

Like I said, I have not done this, but it looks quite doable and is farily high on my list of future "improvements" to this otherwise quite nice little CUT.

Rip, sound like a cool idea. On my b TC21 I was wondering how hard it would be to just add another go pedal on the other side. By some how connecting over to the on thats already there but your Idea sound more practical/do-able. I 'll have to look a bit closer this weekend if it don't rain...
