Hydrostatic Drive and Independent Rear Braking

I found that with the blower up, the front gets MIGHTY light, I also found the same problem with the brakes/hydro treadle as you did.. Using the cruise for right turns is fine, for left turns I use my toe on the brake, my heel on the HST...

I have it in my mind to build some sort of levers that will clamp to the brake pedal arms, like a dozer..

Or...you could trade it for a John Deere! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Why would I want to do that? If I wanted an inferior machine with a higher price just for the logo on the hood, I would have bought a Kubota! :)

Deere. I have a 655 (discontinued, {dumb idea}) that I would like to replace. No manufacturer to date has addressed the independent brake, treadle pedal issue in smaller compacts. Deere has been consistent with 'Side by Side' hydro control pedals on one side and independent brakes on the other. My ergonomics support that configuration.

Cute logo on the hood: $500 ?

Money-like green color: $1500 ?

Having brake pedals on one side of the tractor and the hydro pedals on the other when the front wheels lose steering traction: Priceless! :)

Works well. Steers tractor and Howard P50 rotortiller (more tiller than tractor should handle) well with FWD engaged. Does not require operator to have three legs. Two on the right and one on the left. I am not opposed to BLUE. They have had the benefit of two other manufacturers designs preceeding them, and still come up short.

CHEAP - ???
Nonfunctional ergonomics - PRICELESS

The larger New Hollands have the brake on the left side as well.. It never was a problem for me, since my boots are large enough to work both at the same time.

I thought the Boomers had the two pedal design like the Deeres? I thought that was what the brochure showed, anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Class III Boomers are like that. The smaller units are treadle style.

Sorry to butt in. I have a bota, and it works well with the cruse control. In the case of the 3130 the cruse only cancles if both breaks are pushed at the same time. Are you guys sure that yours are not set up the same way?

Just an idea.
