Hypro pump

I have a 6500cr pump driven by a direct drive 5hp Honda gas motor with a speed reducer. I am having problems with not getting much pressure 10-20 # only. I have checked for restrictions on the suction side but found none. What do you think could be the problem? I purchased the counter rotation pump because the gas motor runs opposite rotation of my pto on the tractor.

Is there a filter somewhere that could cause a restriction? Are you sure the pump is turning the right direction? Is the engine turning the right RPM? Just wild guesses.

You say you bought a counter rotation pump because the gas motor runs opposite rotation of the tractor PTO. I used to have a spray rig powered by an old 3 hp Briggs, and had the same situation. But you can also just take the pump apart and put it back together to turn the other direction.

Good advice. I was thinking it was a new pump, but even then I guess that might be where the problem is.
