Buying Advice I am in the market for my first tractor

What did they warn you off about? I agree, Case/ New Holland has much better financial options.

I値l give you my 2 cents and you can do what you want with it! If it was me I would buy a throw away tractor like u listed. By you a older tractor like a jd4440 there goin be cheaper to work on and any one can work on them no electric bs. You値l have the hp to pull a 15 shredder small tandom disc an in the future if you decide to bale your own hay you have enough hp to do so. You can put a loader on it and it値l handle it. The tractor will last a **** of a lot longer then what you listed. You should be able to find a low hr northern tractor in the low to mid 20痴.

hey RM and the rest I bought a used as well and I am truly loving it.............I bought a loader too and I hope it lasts me the rest of my life - it is a 5088 IH the last generation - no complaints - it has a new motor and the rear end issues that plagued them have been redone on mine. So hopefully the kinks are out LOL - like RM said you can do what you want but if you spend the time you can find good tractors for so much less $$

I am not opposed to a good used tractor I have been looking but not finding much compelling either condition or price wise.
